Why a single brand

Premium appliances are built tightly, and they tend to be installed tightly. A column refrigerator may have almost no clearance at its sides. A wall oven may share a cabinet with a microwave drawer. A downdraft vent may rise out of a cooktop directly over a drain line and a gas supply. When a brand’s products repeat patterns like these, repeated attention to them pays off in faster, clearer diagnosis.

Dacor has also changed over the years. Older units from the Millennia, Epicure, Distinctive, Preference and Discovery generations are still in use alongside newer series such as Modernist, Contemporary and Transitional. We read the model label first and work from there, because the label tells us far more than the appearance of the door.
