Error codeC72
ApplianceWall Oven
Symptom
Look for C72 on the display, which the manual files as a TWI communication error. It is raised after at least six seconds in which the logic board and the relay boards exchange nothing.
The sequence, step by step
Both boards persist. The logic board hunts for the relay board while the relay board repeats its reset commands.
Once a full minute has passed the manual treats it as fatal: the power board keeps resetting the logic board, and the cooling fan is switched to high speed.
None of the oven’s functions can be used in the meantime.
As soon as contact comes back, the oven reboots and works again, which is why the error is described as reversible.
Ovens it concerns
The Dacor Wall Oven Service Manual applies this to touch-glass single and double ovens, 27-inch and 30-inch. It gives no series name.
Advice for the owner
Code displayed but cooking works: ring service to log it, and the oven stays in use.
Repeated restarts: ring service.
Looking over the links between relay and logic boards, along with the relay board switch settings, is left to a technician.
Our Dacor wall oven repair page covers San Francisco and the Bay Area, and (415) 687-5926 is the number to dial. Tell us that C72 appeared and give the model number, along with whether the oven kept cooking or kept resetting.
Model compatibility: Dacor reuses codes across series and model years, so C72 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
