Error codeU61 / L61
ApplianceWall Oven
The code in plain terms
With the cooling fan on its fast setting, the tachometer is expected to read between 400 and 750 pulses a second. A reading outside that window shows U61 for the top or only oven or L61 for the bottom oven. Nothing on the oven works while it is displayed.
Manual sequence
Where the fan spins extremely fast yet moves no air, confirm every blade is attached and undamaged
Remove anything blocking the air paths
Install a new fan, which brings a new Hall effect sensor with it
Where the fan behaves normally and J21 carries a proper signal, install a new relay board
Reading fan speed needs the service screens, which makes it technician work. Call for service.
Models
Dacor 27-inch and 30-inch wall ovens, single or double, with glass touch controls; the extract gives no series.
Related codes
U60 / L60: the same fan out of range on its slow setting
Model compatibility: Dacor reuses codes across series and model years, so U61 / L61 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
