Understanding U35 and L35
Both codes point at probe 3 being shorted: U35 on a lone or upper oven, L35 on the lower one. The control saw the probe sit at the bottom of its range, and a fatal error follows once that persists for 60 seconds.
Probable causes
The manual offers three: a weak joint at the board or along the harness, a failed probe, or a faulty lead in the harness.
Cooking and cleaning
Neither is lost, since the oven relies on probe 1 as primary. The manual allows for some temperature effect, with food coming out a touch warmer or colder than normal, so check your results.
What happens on a visit
- Relay board plugs get a check.
- The probe is examined where it connects.
- Then comes a firmer connection, or a new probe, or a new harness.
Owners should call for service.
Source manual
