The DRW24980LAP is a wine column, 24 inches wide. It shares its number pattern with the DRZ24980LAP column freezer and the DRR24980 column refrigerator, so many kitchens that have one of these have the others. Make sure you quote the right label.

Reading the label on a column

The model label on a wine column is usually inside the cabinet on a side wall or near the top of the door opening. Open the door fully and look along the edges with a flashlight. If a panel hides the frame, do not remove it; a photo from a phone held inside the opening is normally enough. Quoting the number correctly saves a second trip and lets us arrive prepared for the cabinetry around the unit.

Moisture and the toe kick

Water at the base of a tall unit can come from condensation running down the interior or from a drain that is not carrying meltwater away. It is worth drying the floor, placing a towel and noting whether the water appears after the door has been open for a while. A tidy description of when it appears speeds up the diagnosis.

2. Clean the gasket and confirm that the door closes completely.
3. Keep the interior vents clear of bottles.
