When probe 2 goes open
A lone upper oven or the top cavity of a double shows U32; the bottom cavity shows L32. Either way the words TEMP SENSOR appear and probe 2 is open. The control calls it fatal after 60 seconds of continuous readings over the maximum bounds.
Keeping the oven in service
Probe 1 stands in as primary, so cooking and cleaning are both available. Calibration can wander, so dishes may turn out slightly warmer or colder than the oven normally produces. Even so, the manual advises a call for service.
Likely sources and fixes
Suspects: a weak connection on the board or along the harness, a worn probe, a damaged lead. Fixes escalate in three tiers, beginning with firming up the connection, then a new probe, then a new harness.
Technician checks in order
- Look at what is plugged into the relay board.
- Read the probe at the plug where it attaches.

Book through (415) 687-5926 if U32 or L32 keeps appearing. Give the code, the model number and whether the oven has been heating unevenly. General background sits under Dacor wall oven repair.
Model compatibility: Dacor reuses codes across series and model years, so U32 / L32 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
