No power at the display does not always mean a failed oven, and the first checks are simple.

The ECS230 is another oven from the Classic Wall Ovens series, a wall oven. Whatever its age, the starting point for a dead display is the supply, and that is where we begin. General background is in Dacor wall ovens.
Open the electrical panel and look at the breaker for the oven. If it has tripped, reset it once. If it trips again, leave it off and call, because a repeated trip is a sign of a fault rather than a nuisance. If your oven is plugged into a GFCI-protected circuit, check that as well. Do not test wires or the receptacle yourself.
Access to the connection often means moving the oven forward, which is why we ask you to clear the space around it.
After an outage, a message such as C90, listed as power interrupted and restored, may show for a moment. Also covered is the C42 message as a checksum failure on the control board. Treat any code as information to pass on, not as a prompt to start pressing buttons.
San Francisco homes with older wiring or shared meters can see more power flicker, so mention it when you call. Our oven error code guide may help you read what you see.
Use Dacor wall oven repair with the ECS230 label, usually found on the oven frame. We diagnose, send a written estimate, and repair only with your approval.
Tell us whether other appliances on the same wall lost power, whether lights dimmed before the oven went dark, and whether the breaker was reset recently. If your building has a shared panel, a manager may need to give access, so arrange that before the visit.
Where a fault turns out to lie outside the oven, such as in the house wiring, we say so plainly in the estimate.
It may have lost supply or the control may have failed. Checking power first tells us which.
Leave it off after one reset and book a diagnosis. Repeated trips need a technician.
It means power was interrupted and restored, which on its own is a report of an outage.
No. Owner checks stay on the outside: breaker, GFCI and the code on display.
You get it in writing after the diagnosis, before any repair is done.
