The ER30GI sits in the Epicure series and runs on gas. It is a close relative of the ER30G, but we treat each unit by its own label and condition. The model number printed on your range, not the name you searched for, decides which parts a technician orders.
The most frequent call is a burner that refuses to light. After that comes a flame that looks wrong, such as tall and yellow, or one that burns on one side of the cap only. A third pattern is a burner that lights and then goes out as you turn it down. Each points somewhere different: debris in the port, a worn igniter, a weak spark, or an airflow problem from a nearby hood.
On a gas oven the technician tests the ignition components and the safety valve, then the temperature sensor and the control. If a code shows, read it on the F10 code page or the F30 code page; they name the circuit to inspect.
Look at where the unit meets the wall. A kinked connector, a shutoff that cannot be reached, or a range tipped slightly forward can all cause trouble that looks like a faulty part. We check the setting of the range and the way it connects before condemning anything inside.
A gas smell means leaving the building and calling the gas utility or 911 from outside, touching no switches on the way. Sparks or a burning smell mean power off at the breaker.
See Dacor range repair for how we work and Dacor ranges for the lineup. The article on oven temperature problems may help you describe what you see. The visit begins with a diagnosis, then a written estimate; we repair nothing until you approve it.
It is a gas range, and the connections at your home will confirm that when we arrive.
A single failing burner usually has a local cause, such as a blocked port, a damaged igniter or a loose connection, rather than a gas supply problem.
Only when everything is cold, and only by wiping the outside gently. Do not open panels or pry at components.
Say which burner or oven function is affected, when it began, and what the display shows. Include the model label if you can read it.
