The ERD30 is a 30-inch Dacor dual fuel range in the Epicure series. Dual fuel means the burners are fed by gas while the oven is electric, so the unit needs both a gas connection and a proper power supply. A problem in one source never affects the other, and that fact is the quickest way to narrow down the cause.
With gas feeding the cooktop, the usual complaints are failure to light, clicking that will not stop, and uneven flames. Power is still required for the igniter, so a range that seems to have no spark may only have lost its electricity. After a power cut the burners may take a moment to recover.
Electric ovens depend on elements, sensors, relays and the control board. A code gives the first lead; the F14 code page and the F95 code page both concern the power board. We confirm by testing, not by the code alone.
A technician looks at the gas shutoff and connector, the electrical receptacle or junction, and the way the range is leveled. Because the oven is electric, an oven that fails right after a remodel is often a circuit issue, while a burner that fails after the gas was shut off for other work is a gas-side matter. Tell us what changed recently.
If gas can be smelled, leave and call the gas utility or 911, touching nothing electrical. A burning smell or sparks means breaker off.

Gas runs the burners and electricity runs the oven, so a technician can often tell which side is at fault just by what still works.
The igniters and controls are electric. If the range lost power, the burners may not spark even though gas is available.
The technician only evaluates the range side. Anything beyond the shutoff valve is a matter for the building or the gas utility.
We service it based on the label.
