Error codeU25 / L25
ApplianceWall Oven
Reading U25 and L25
The oven has found its ambient temperature probe shorted. U25 belongs to the upper or single oven and L25 to the lower oven. The probe is the thermistor on the relay board, and OVER TEMP is the text on the display.
No functions left
Once a shorted probe is detected, nothing on the oven works. Owners are told to call for service.
How the manual fixes it
The thermistor is called stuck closed. The listed remedy has three parts, in this order:
clear the error
test the oven in a basic cooking mode
replace the upper relay board
Which ovens
27-inch and 30-inch Dacor wall ovens, whether single or double.
Neighboring codes
U24 / L24: the open version of this ambient probe fault
U23 / L23: ambient over temperature on the same thermistor
If the oven in your San Francisco kitchen stays dark with U25 or L25, call (415) 687-5926 and quote the code plus the model number first. Say whether the upper or lower oven showed it. The Dacor wall oven repair listing has the wider picture.
Model compatibility: Dacor reuses codes across series and model years, so U25 / L25 may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
